Guilds fight for 45 minutes over one map: three altars and the Territory Commander. The guild that collects the most points wins – and the winner isn't the one who sits in one spot, but the one who keeps moving.
The Territory War (TF for short) is a daily guild event on Mount Sohan. The map has three altars and a boss called the Territory Commander. You capture and hold the altars, defeat and defend the Commander, and fight off members of enemy guilds – all of these earn points. At the end of the round, the guild with the most points wins, and the participants receive rewards.
The war starts automatically every day at 19:00 and ends at 19:45. It only takes place on Channel 1 and only on Mount Sohan. When you're on the map, the TF panel opens by itself (time remaining, the Commander's status, the altars, the leaderboard), and icons on the map (M) show where the Commander and the three altars are.
Holder gets: +20% damage against monsters, +15 attack for every guild member on the map – and it generates points.
Holder gets: +20 defense, +3000 HP for every guild member on the map – and it generates points.
No combat bonus – it purely generates points, the same amount as the other two.
A boss with 60 million HP in the middle of the map. The guild that defeats it takes it over: from then on it's invulnerable to them and heals their members standing nearby. However, another guild can kill it and take it away.
The Commander is protected by a shield that the altars open up: if no altar is captured (by anyone), 80% of the damage is lost; with one altar it's 55%, with two 30%, and with all three only 5%. Without altars the boss is practically invincible – altars first.
Stand next to the altar (within about 15 meters). The altar's seal fills from 0 to 100%: in roughly 20 seconds alone, proportionally faster if there are more of you; every hit you land there also adds a little. If members of an enemy guild are there too, the difference in headcount matters: if they outnumber you, they fill it in their favor; if the numbers are equal, it's a stalemate – nothing moves, and a single extra player decides it.
A captured altar can be taken back the same way: enemy presence lowers the seal, at 0% the altar becomes unowned, and anyone can capture it again. The TF panel always shows whether an altar's seal is rising, falling or holding.
| Action | Points | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Holding an altar (holder present) | +5 / 10 sec | per altar; one altar is worth about 1350 over 45 minutes if you hold it the whole time |
| All three altars held by one guild | ×2 | all altar points are doubled, and the whole map is notified |
| Taking an altar from another guild | +25 | instantly, upon taking it |
| Defeating an enemy player at an altar | +5 | within 20 meters; the same pair counts at most once every 3 minutes |
| Defeating an enemy player at the Commander | +2 | likewise within 20 meters |
| Taking over the Commander | +60 | goes to the guild that lands the killing blow |
| Holding the Commander | +3 / 30 sec | the boss is a base, not a point machine – the points are at the altars |
Points can only be earned as a guild member. Anyone who has already won a map that day doesn't score on another map that same day.
Every minute, the standings appear in chat: who's leading, who's second and by how much, which altar is unowned, and whether anyone holds the Commander.
Requirement: you spent at least 5 minutes on the map and made at least one real action – captured an altar, damaged the Commander, or defeated an enemy. No guild, no reward. If you're not in the game at the end of the round, you'll receive it the next time you log in.
Type in chat: /tf – the panel and the map markers will reappear. On the first click the X button only collapses the panel (its title bar stays), on the second it hides it.
During the war, separate named icons mark all four locations on the map (M) and on the minimap. If you don't see them, type /tf.
There are two possible reasons: either your guild holds it (it's invulnerable to its holder), or no altar is captured and the 80% shield absorbs the damage. The TF panel shows the shield percentage.
Either you weren't on the map for 5 minutes, you had no action (altar, boss, PvP), you have no guild, or your guild didn't score any points. If you weren't online at the end of the round, it will arrive the next time you log in.
